Live Panel: Pop Culture's Media Mushroom Boom
As the scientific breakthroughs surrounding mushrooms continue to evolve and more states legalize mushrooms for recreational use and scientific study, fungi are moving out of the shade and into the light of popular culture.
From Nicole Kidman's character microdosing her patients in HBO's "9 Perfect Strangers" to mushroom-shaped lamps selling for $750 to mushroom-infused skincare, biodegradable mycelium packaging and more, mushrooms are having a moment in all facets of culture. We will explore this phenomenon and how education and accurate representation of mushrooms and their benefits can go hand-in-hand with pop culture trends.
